Closeboard Fencing
This type of fencing is traditionally constructed on site. You can use concrete or timber posts which are pre- mortised to accept the ended arris rails. This provides a strong frame for the featheredge boards to be nailed to. Concrete or timber gravelboards are fitted at ground level and are attached to the posts using cleats, this protects the bottom of the featheredge boards, a centre stump is also used. All the timber we use is pressure treated ( tanalised)…
Counter rail and capping can be also be fitted to the top of the fencing, this provides greater strength and improves the appearance of the fence…
